Today was amazing! How can I explain how much I loved it?
There was a point when all five boys at the home were surrounding me and BEGGING for more bell peppers and heirloom carrot samples and I thought, how cool is this?!! They wanted to participate, engage, taste and be a part of the “food experience.”
My ultimate passion in life–uniting people with good, clean and nourishing food + hands-on education. The three boys that I have been cooking for the past month couldn’t stop talking about the recent dishes they loved: quinoa and beet burgers, loaded veggie enchiladas, and stuffed bell peppers. We are talking middle school and elementary school kids here that are excited by food and the way it makes them feel. Good stuff.
To summarize my day, I spent from 10:30am to 2:30pm cooking along side a beautiful and special family. They were celebrating Passover together and asked me to come into their kitchen space and make four nutritious side dishes that were Passover-Kosher friendly. It was a learning experience for me and I couldn’t have enjoyed this moment more.
Here is some food-love from my day with some very cool, and very wonderful people.
Thank you guys for this opportunity! Much love.
