Healthy Happy Hour Cooking Class: Spring Branch Take 2

I am a food and health driven educator that sincerely wants to make a difference in people’s lives through food. I encourage and assist others in developing a relationship with their kitchen through food education. My teaching philosophy: “how to cook easy, local & wholesome food while having a great time.” One of the best and most entertaining ways to achieve this is through a Happy Hour Cooking Class.

During this Healthy Happy Hour cooking class we had the BEST time together. Each guest played an integral role in our delicious feast! They chopped, simmered, caramelized and grilled to perfection. Well done friends!

The menu:

  1. Avocado, pecan & kale salad
  2. Stewy beans with carrots, cabbage,  garlic, caramelized onions and tomatoes
  3. Cilantro quinoa
  4. Grilled Zucchini and squash with mexican oregano & cracked pepper
  5. Marinated mushrooms stuffed with guacamole

Lots of silly moments, big laughs, and trying things for the first time. Drew swore he hated mushrooms and avocados but I caught him going for seconds and thirds! It was my first co-ed cooking class and I have to say, it was one of the best!! These classes are filled with inspiration, purpose, fellowship, and delicious food. Thank you to each attendee last night for working so hard and creating masterpieces. Stephanie and Kevin, you both were the hostess with the mostest! Happy birthday Abby, I hope you had a bday to remember. And thank you to Fiona, Asher, and Lily (the awesome kids) who helped me all night long and proved that kids do love to eat great food! Looking forward to keeping in touch with you all and keep up the great healthy work.
