Spreading the Love of Good Food

Ok, so it has been a while since I last logged in. I have decided I am done with fearing the blogging world–and I am going to be more proactive! After all, I am doing a lot with food and nutrition these days so I might as well document it!!

To start off the new blogging initiative; Yesterday was AWESOME! I had been bugging my folks and my In-laws to let me host a “Forks Over Knives” screening party in which I would provide all of the “Plant-Strong” dishes to tantalize taste buds and accompany the documentary’s message…It was a huge hit! After almost 7 hours of prepping (mind you, the recipes will never take more than 30 mins–I prepared 9 courses and thus it took some time) and a brief toast of champaign–oh, that’s not part of the healthy plant-based diet?–the movie began and their eyes were locked on the screen. It was my idea that if I can do one thing during this transitional period in my life, it would be to give the gift of knowledge. My focus: to help the people who I love most to understand more about the food on their plate, and in an altruistic fashion, to showcase my new cooking skill; creating great food without oil, butter, or any animal products.
